John Steiner is a co-founder and board member of the Bridge Alliance and a co-founder and senior advisor to YOUnify. He serves on the board  of BridgeUSA and Mediators Foundation, and is a trustee of the Steiner King Foundation where he, his wife Margo, and his family are members of Impact Partners, which invests in social impact documentary films.

Marc Kasky is a consumer activist best known for bringing a lawsuit against Nike Inc. for their advertising claims about the treatment of Chinese, Indonesian and Vietnamese workers at company subcontractors. Kasky headed the San Franciso Ecology Center, the Fort Mason Center, and serves as co-director at the Green Century Institute.

Sara Ellis is a coaching pioneer with over 20 years experience.

Trained by her father, Dave Ellis,  one of the founders of the coaching industry, she assists individuals and teams to make life-altering, lasting improvements in the areas of  leadership, strategic planning, productivity, communication, and time  management.

Shams Kairys is international co-coordinator of the Kinship activity of Sufi Order International. He has worked with innovative organizations and projects dedicated to helping heal the world, including Berkeley Area Interfaith Council, Meeting of the Ways, Creating Our Future, Seva Foundation, Reaching Out Project, EarthSave International and Youth for Environmental Sanity (YES!). 

Prabhu Nam, has been singing  sacred mantra for more over three decades and is internationally known for her accomplished ragas and shabads. Mother of Snatam and wife of Sat Santokh, she is the respected Matriarch of the American Sikh community in the Bay Area.

Kali Ma is a powerful yet peaceful leader for our times. Kali is co-owner of the Cotati Wellness Center, serves on the SRJC Yoga/Pilates Certification board, and as a Hospice Grief Support volunteer. With over 20 years experience as a wellness educator and healer, she is a lead trainer & guide for the work we do here at Creating Our Future.

Jasprit Singh holds a degree in psychology from UC Davis, is a certified yoga instructor, and a lead trainer in Self Worth Work and Healing the Wounds of Life. An an accomplished musician, Jasprit has been playing sitar and singing professionally for over three decades and continues to perform and tour as time allows. 

Dr. Lalla Kerr is the owner of Thrive! Chiropractic Yoga Therapy, where she practices holistic customized care with her clients. As an early participant with COF, her experience with our organization spans decades and now helps to form the framework of our current programs for future generations.  

Jerry Garcia was the lead singer and guitar player of the iconic rock n' roll band - the Grateful Dead. His friendship and support for over 35 years was invaluable to the success of this organization, hosting a number of concerts on behalf of Creating Our Future.

Bob Weir was the infamous rhythm guitar player and inherited leader of the Grateful Dead. Known for more than his music, Bobby was known to his community for his generosity and kindness. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (1994), he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and was recognized at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2024.

Joanna Macy was a scholar of Buddhism, systems thinking and deep ecology. A respected voice in the movements for peace, justice, and ecology, she created a ground-breaking framework for personal and social change and her methods have been adopted and adapted widely in classrooms, community centers, and grassroots organizing.

Chellis Glendinning is an author and activist. She has been  called a pioneer in the concept of ecopsychology—the belief that  promoting environmentalism is healthy. She is a social-change activist  with an emphasis on feminism, bioregionalism, and indigenous rights. Wikipedia 

Alice Miller was a Polish-Swiss psychologist, psychoanalyst, and philosopher noted for her books on parental child abuse. Her views on the consequences of child abuse became highly influential in the fields of child development, psychotherapy, and trauma.

Julia Butterfly Hill, is an American environmental activist and tax redirection advocate. She lived in a 200-foot-tall, approximately 1,000-year-old California  redwood tree for 738 days between December 10, 1997, and December 18,  1999.

Lynne Twist has been a recognized global visionary committed  to alleviating poverty, ending world hunger, and supporting social  justice and sustainability for more than forty years. She is also the  cofounder of the Pachamama Alliance and founder of the Soul of Money  Institute.
